Dog Photography

Colorado Springs dog photographer and tutor

My boy Marty is checking out the neighborhood.

I’ve photographed many, many dogs personally, and through my Colorado Springs photography business over the years, and share some of my favorites in a Flickr gallery below.

For me, there is nothing more enjoyable in the world of photography than photographing dogs. I would do it for free all day long if I could. In fact, I spend as much time as my schedule will allow volunteering to photograph breeder dogs who have been rescued from puppy mills in hopes of helping them find their forever homes.

I heard a talk about volunteerism once, where the speaker emphasized that if you are going to volunteer your time for anything, it should be for something you find truly satisfying and enjoyable, or else you’ll end up resenting. Dog photography is what does that for me. It’s the most satisfying volunteer work I could do, and selfishly, in addition to helping the dogs find homes, it helps me become an even better dog photographer.

You can see some of my favorite dog photos below, or to get a peek at the volunteer photography I’ve done for National Mill Dog Rescue, you can visit this link, which will take you a Flickr page with the thousands of photos I’ve taken for them.
